The Warehouse Manager position entails overseeing receiving, issuing, storage, and maintenance operations to ensure efficient warehouse management through a digitized ERP system. The role focuses on strategic planning, forecasting, process optimization, training, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Accountabilities- Plan, forecast, implement, and set policies for warehouse management, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage warehouse inbound and outbound operations, optimizing material flow.
- Establish standard warehouse arrangements and ensure secure space utilization in the storage yard.
- Monitor and review daily transactions uploaded to the ERP system for accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop a coding system for existing and incoming inventory and fixed asset items.
- Ensure full ERP system implementation, diagnose system defects/conflicts, and coordinate with departments for a fully digitized workflow.
- Prepare and submit monthly dashboard reports illustrating warehouse performance KPIs.
- Conduct various types of stock inventory checks, submit reports to relevant departments, and perform internal audits to enhance warehouse procedures.
- Perform quality control checks on warehouse processes and monitor work progress KPIs.
- Enforce company policies and procedures across all warehouse activities.
- Forecast warehouse requirements, prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
- Conduct regular warehouse inspections to ensure adherence to company standards and compliance.
- Perform daily inventory analysis to predict and prevent potential stock issues.
- Develop and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide data on collection status and inventory details for better decision-making.
- Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse teams to meet company goals.
- Solve day-to-day operational challenges, ensuring short- and long-term warehouse efficiency.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring optimal inventory and logistics management.
- Review and improve workflow processes, creating and implementing action plans to enhance warehouse productivity.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring adherence to legal and safety regulations.
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize control procedures.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review and develop action plans for loss prevention and KPI improvements.
- Oversee and manage logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation of materials to internal and external destinations.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is an added advantage.
- Professional Certifications (Preferred): Logistics, SCM, WMS, ERP, APICS, Planning or equivalent.
- 12:15 years of experience in warehouse management within the construction industry, including 5+ years in a managerial position.
- Strong experience in digitized warehouse systems, ERP-based inventory control, and logistics planning.
- Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory forecasting, and cost optimization.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP software (AX Dynamics preferred).
