Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accountant to join our team in Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records related to warehouse transactions, including inventory management, stock adjustments, and cost accounting.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other warehouse-related financial data.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, specifically relating to inventory and warehouse operations.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, with a focus on warehouse financials.
Reconcile inventory accounts, including physical counts and system records, and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis related to warehouse operations.
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including inventory turnover and cost efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, particularly in support of warehouse financial management.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on warehouse or inventory management.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, particularly in inventory and cost accounting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software and inventory management systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
