Job Description
Academy Purpose Vodafone Egypt AI Academy is a 6-months program that aims to provide data science hands-on experience for fresh graduates by providing real use cases with clear deliverables.
As part of AI Academy, you will work alongside data scientists, big data engineers, and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining use case pipelines and communicating results to scientists, product managers, and customers.
Your work will directly impact millions of our customers in the form of products, services and offers. You will gain hands-on experience with Vodafone’s huge volume of data and large-scale computing resources.
Competencies
• Competent in machine learning principles, deep learning and generative AI techniques.
• Experience in Big Data analytics & deployment of models and algorithms from large volumes of structured and/or unstructured data in a commercial /consumer environment
• Ability to test hypotheses from raw data sets, draw meaningful conclusions, and effectively communicate results verbally, in writing, and through effective visualization
• knowledge of Big Data technology (e.g. Hadoop, interactive SQL on Hadoop, Spark, etc)
• Statistical modelling expertise in various domains
• Ability to work cross functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s (or equivalent) in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering.
Required Experience: Fresh grad up to 3 years of Experience.
Proficient in statistical packages and ML libraries (e.g. Python, Sklearn, Pytorch,Keras, SciPy and NLTK, Spark MLlib, etc)
Familiar with leading visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
Familiar with implementing data transformations and algorithms in common programming languages
Strong communication skills with prior experience communicating analytics results to senior management
