Job Description

Purpose:


The Senior Director is a leadership role part of the Visa Consulting & Analytics team which delivers high impact advisory and implementation projects to Visa’s clients across North Africa, Levant and Pakistan (NALP), with focus on North Africa. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing practice to lead the consulting business in the North Africa geography end-to-end, including medium and long-term business development efforts and relationship building, delivery oversight and quality assurance, guiding team members in solving complex problems, shaping clients’ strategies, and managing a growing high-performing team.


Responsibilities include:


  • Develop and deliver medium and long-term plans for consulting activities in coordination with Country Managers, Account Executives, and VCA service lines leads – with the objective of positioning VCA as a long-term trusted advisor to Visa’s clients and partners.
  • Develop and evolve Visa Consulting & Analytics service offering in service of the North Africa region
  • Develop project pitches and proposals and secure new consulting engagements with clients, as well as (re-engagements opportunities) via a consultative sales approach, leveraging VCAs various service lines- Portfolio, risk, digital, acquiring, managed services, training, data services and strategy.  
  • Resolve clients complex strategic problems, synthesizing complex questions and ambiguous client situations as required. Guide teams in developing appropriate approaches and methodologies to solve client problems.
  • Ensure delivery quality across all VCA engagements in the region.
  • Manage the VCA budgets and resources related to the region and perform all required administrative requirements to ensure healthy operations and financial performance.
  • Lead the development of Visa Consulting & Analytics thought leadership material, to showcase and communicate successes and learnings from client projects conducted in the region
  • Support Visa business development teams in developing client partnership pitches and proposals, and in winning new deals.
  • Structure and deliver client projects and closely guide team members in structuring and delivering different consulting project workstreams.
  • Guide different teams in using Visa and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets.
  • Lead knowledge sharing initiatives with consulting teams in other regions to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other solutions to bring global perspective to local clients.
  • Work closely with different Visa functions, including Sales, Product, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless consulting projects delivery and client impact.
  • Support country managers in key initiatives related to the growth, and long term positioning of the North Africa region.
  • Hire, grow, and mentor VCA talent
  • Plan and execute initiatives to create and maintain a positive and open environment for VCA team members to thrive
  • This Position is based in Cairo and travel is required.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.



Qualifications

Qualifications
Education and professional qualifications:
15+ years of work experience including solid consulting experience gained through extensive work in management consulting or in-house strategy function
MBA or Post Graduate studies is a plus
Experience in financial services or payments industry is a plus
A recognized undergraduate degree qualification
Experience and skills required:
Knowledge of portfolio, risk and or digital practices is preferred but not a pre-requisite
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record in managing high performing teams
Strong analytical and problem skills, and experience in guiding and coaching teams to solve complex client problems
Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to senior execs including c-suite
Relationship building management skills – should be able to manage internal and external stakeholders at the most senior levels
Self-motivated and high sense of ownership with ability to deliver based on own initiative with limited direction
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
Superior project management skills
Group facilitation and presentation skills
Expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to develop superb client presentations
Fluency in Arabic and English mandatory
