Job Description

  1. Managing the Trade and working capital finance department under Business Banking segment, which covers clients with annual T/O up to EGP 2b.
  2. Leading a team of 8 SRMs/RMs handling HV clients (5 asset RMs / 3 Liabilities & cash management RMs).
  3. Sizably grow the liabilities portfolio and promote the cash management solutions.
  4. Expand the trade business with borrowing / non-borrowing clients.
  5. Promote the FX business with FCY earners to enhance the FCY resources.
  6. Proactively drive new-to-bank business to grow Business Banking presence in the identified target segments in order to achieve the balance in the asset / Liabilities portfolios to cater for the planned growth.
  1. Identify and segment target market, develop new business to broad base the portfolio, and implement the annual marketing plan for the team.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in key Local/Regional/International Banks/Financial Institutions, Public shareholding companies, and capitalize in Mashreq Bank’s (MB’s) existing/target commercial relationships, to originate business to meet financial targets.
  3. Review the existing portfolio in a timely manner, establish appropriate account plan, and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earning while containing risk to an acceptable level, and achieve a satisfactory rating on portfolio quality and credit management process.
  4. Review and initiate policy changes, as necessary, to suit evolving business conditions.
  5. To ensure that the credit risk on account of funded, non-funded facilities extended are adequately mitigated through robust credit analysis and ensuring full & proper execution of the requisite security documentation of the customers.
  6. Keep up-to-date with the Market, Regulatory, Competitive Environment and Industry conditions that may impact the marketing plan and the existing Portfolio.
  7. Identify/develop cross sell opportunities with LOB.
  8. Manage the TWC, SRM & RM and allocate individual targets.
  9. Ensure satisfactory account conduct of mid-cap / SME borrowing accounts, early rectification of various related issues, in addition to revenues generation.
  10. Responsible for achieving Dep. objectives and targets through managing, training and following up on SRMs & RMs.
  11. To effectively lead, monitor and manage the defined market to achieve Business Banking financial and non-financial goals by executing bank’s strategies & plans.
  12. To ensure growth in the balance sheet while ensuring service delivery to those clients through interaction with other departments.
  13. Maintain existing relationships, and solicit acceptable new relationships, by originating, structuring, participating, in trade/working capital financing transactions to achieve pre-set financial/non-financial objective.
