This position works out of our Cairo office in the Established Pharmaceutical Division where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.


What You’ll Do:


  • Manage the relationship with all local TPMs to secure needed output from all local third-party manufacturers (TPMs), ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining efficient production and supply chain processes.
  • Lead TPM Operations team to Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Lead the coordination between Abbott and TPMs to ensure allocated production capacity at TPMs is meeting Abbott supply targets.
  • Participate in the forecasting process with Supply chain Department to ensure on time raw material availability.
  • Monitor and control TPM inventory of packaging materials, raw materials, and finished products to ensure stocks (including safety stocks) are adequate to secure production plans.
  • Lead the movement of finished products from TPM warehouses to affiliate 3PL.
  • Lead the control of Abbott products inventory movement & future purchases and prepare required inventory sheets for the Financial Dept to ensure inventory and cash flow targets are met.
  • Participate with Distribution, Sales, and Marketing departments in setting up plans and targets for Abbott products that are in line with local TPMs production capacities and raise the flag in case of any constraint.
  • Lead the communication with TPMs in case upgrades or expansions of production sites, machines, equipment, and labor skills are needed to meet Abbott’s standards. Ensure this communication is done on a timely manner to secure long range plans.
  • Lead the coordination between local Operations team & the Quality assurance team
  • Lead preparation, reviewing, and concluding agreements and contracts with TPM.
  • Lead the process of scouting the market for new partners and drive the evaluation process based on identified criteria.
  • Facilitate in resolving problems and obstacles faced by TPMs related to Abbott products to ensure production plans are met
  • Continuously look for gross margin improvement opportunities in line with Abbott priorities.
  • Lead the review process related to performance of TPMs through effective established Supply KPIs to ensure adherence.
  • Lead by example, build a strong coherent team spirit while providing a safe working environment that fosters performance and ensures top talents are retained.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Veterinary/Medicine, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

•     Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical Operations or manufacturing industry


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong leadership, coordination, people management and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Financial background.
