Job Description

1- Hardware Troubleshooting and Repair:
  • Diagnose and repair hardware issues for printers and MFP printers from brands such as HP, Xerox, Canon, Brother, Epson, and others.
  • Replace defective parts and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal printer and scanning performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to prevent potential hardware failures.
  • PCs/Laptops: Troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals (e.g., motherboards, RAM, HDD/SSD, power supplies, monitors, keyboards). Performing component replacements and upgrades is additional.
2. Software Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Resolve software-related problems, including driver issues, connectivity problems, and print/scanning queue errors.
  • Install and configure printer drivers, firmware, and software updates.
  • Ensure printers and MFPs are properly integrated with operating systems and business applications.
  • PCs/Laptops: Troubleshoot OS (Windows, macOS, Linux), software conflicts, malware, and driver issues. Configure user profiles, perform data migration/backup, and optimize system performance is additionally.
3. Printer and MFP Printer Framework Installation:
  • Set up and install printer frameworks, ensuring compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Configure network settings to enable seamless printing and scanning functionality.
  • Ensure security protocols are in place to protect networked printers and MFPs.
4. Customer Support and Training:
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting operational issues and guiding best practices.
  • Conduct basic training sessions for users on printer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
  • Generate reports on printer performance, recurring issues, and service history.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance printer efficiency and longevity.

Requirements
  • Fluent in English.
  • The required experience for this role is between 1 to 3 years.
  • Proven experience in printer and MFP hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • On-site support at various locations, including offices, computer labs, and other facilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy printers and MFP equipment as needed.
  • Flexible working hours based on service requests and maintenance schedules.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of printer brands and models, including HP, Xerox, Canon, Brother, Epson, etc.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or vendor-specific printer repair (preferred).
