Job Description
The Technical Manager is responsible for leading a team of solution architects and technical delivery managers within the Enterprise Business Solution Line of Business (EBS). This position holds end-to-end accountability for the technical design and delivery of awarded software projects, from initial solution proposals to project completion, while ensuring alignment with industry standards and modern practices. The role requires strategic oversight, adaptability to up-to-date technologies, and collaborative cross-functional engagement to drive seamless delivery across various phases of the software lifecycle.
- Lead solution architecture design for complex enterprise solutions, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
- Establish best practices for architecture frameworks and ensure alignment with the latest technology trends.
- Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality technical proposals that address customer requirements and strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate sizing and estimation across disciplines, including architecture, development, QA/QC, and support functions.
- Manage end-to-end technical delivery of awarded projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point for architectural and delivery challenges.
- Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed, and project progress is clearly communicated.
- Collaborate with sector-specific teams (Telecom, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Banking) to develop solutions tailored to industry requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solution architects and technical delivery managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance goals for the team, facilitating growth opportunities and skill enhancement through training and development.
- Implement and adapt modern practices in software delivery, such as DevOps, Agile methodologies, UX/UI considerations, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Champion process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce delivery timelines, and maintain adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- Act as a primary technical contact for customers, building strong relationships to foster trust, enhance satisfaction, and create potential for future engagement.
- Proactively identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities, translating customer needs into expanded solution offerings.
- Identify customer pain points and emerging needs, collaborating with account managers to strategically position additional EBS solutions.
- Collaborate with existing and potential clients to develop innovative solutions with desired integrations using all resources.
- Initiate offshore delivery for desired applications & transformations.
- Track and assess project delivery targets and supervise key resources and priorities during SDLC.
- Establish sales channel opportunities with strategic vendors within the marketplace to expand overall offerings.
- Manage the offshore support team and enable quick hand off by implementing appropriate documentation and SDLC process.
- Conduct awareness session to the project team to explain project scope and objectives.
- Review all the TO BE processes and applications requirement deliverables developed by the Software Architect to ensure technical soundness, adherence to the project scope and meeting the customer expectations.
