lead and oversee the technical management of fleet and marine operations, and responsible for delivering safe, reliable and efficient technical services to the fleet of vessels. This role ensures all vessels comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements and operational objectives. The technical head provides technical expertise, leads the continuous improvement of vessel performance and fosters collaboration across teams to ensure safe and optimal vessel operations.
Technical Leadership
Provide technical advice and guidance on vessel maintenance, machinery performance
Ensures vessels remain operational and meet client service requirements
Plan and oversee dry dock operations and other maintenance activities
Compliance and Standards
Ensure all vessels comply with ISM code, planned Maintenance System and international regulations (e.g., MARPOL,MLC,Port State Control)
Develop and implement strategies to meet ISO 9001,14001, and 18001 standards
Operational efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve the technical status of vessels
Establish cooperative relationships with the supply chain to ensure timely availability of spare parts and equipment
Maintain the fleet in good order and on schedule
Personnel Management
Ensure all personnel under supervision and are qualified and trained
Create an environment of continuous improvement, encouraging team development and innovation.
Safety and Quality Management
Lead by example in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) practices
Accept ownership of quality standards and promote excellence in operations
Develop and embrace the use of ERP systems (e.g., DNV software) across the fleet.
