Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Review periodic tax compliance submissions and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Review periodic tax compliance submissions and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure proper documentation and reporting of tax-related items. VAT, WHT, salary tax, monthly submissions to the tax authority and yearly tax return submission.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, alignment with policies and governance, including adequate tax review process and trainings.
  • Develop and implement plans and timelines for remediation of any tax related issues.
  • Drive process improvements for tax.
  • Manage tax provisions and tax compliance process.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the company.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with EAS.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax information in financial reports.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective controls and processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
  • Guide and support team members in daily tax-related tasks, ensuring alignment with compliance standards and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to support business initiatives.
  • Provide tax support for corporate transactions.
  • Collaborate on international tax and compliance matters.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position or accounting firms
  • Fluency in English and Arabic Languages.
  • Experience in managing tax authorities, external consultants, and multiple stakeholders’ requirements.
  • Ability to work in complex environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly present financial and tax information.
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Odoo experience is a plus
