Strategic Sourcing Specialist
We have an opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join us at Honeywell in CAIRO, EGY. To be successful in this role, you need to have 2+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, knowledge of Saudi market and strong negotiation skills and processes.

To be successful in this role, you need to have at least 2+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing as you will be responsible for completing fair and reasonable price analyses, executing program-aligned subcontracts, and collaborating with key functions proposals and subcontracts. This role requires understanding of sourcing life cycle, strong negotiation skills, Knowledge of the local and international suppliers and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will report directly to our Strategic Sourcing Manager, and you will work out of our Cairo- Egypt location.
This position will be supporting KSA and responsible to post award savings to improve the margin & OI while mitigating risks.
The candidate for this position needs to provide and drive a short- and long-term Supply and sourcing strategy. In this role the candidate will be closely linked to the business as a part of the local leadership team to align the supply strategies and initiatives with the requirements of the given geography. The aim of this position is to add value to the business enabling the win of new opportunities by providing the most competitive cost also meeting the productivity targets during project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with Sales and estimation and technical team on new project opportunities. Sending RFQ /Scope to Subcontractors and follow up to obtain quotes considering the tendering deadlines. Develop relationships with top spend and major key subcontractors /suppliers to achieve business results. Drive use of qualified suppliers and use of negotiated catalogues by operations estimating team. Use applicable negotiation strategies/eAuction to achieve savings. Ensures supply chain representation during solution development, estimate and risk reviews in accordance with standard Honeywell policies and approval requirements. Renegotiate with subcontractors / materials vendor to record post award savings. Provide proposal support tied to the business area needs. This includes initiating Requests for Proposals (RFP), reviewing/analyzing responses and providing guidance to the program during the subcontractor selection process. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify strategic suppliers and onboard them. Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance and supply chain efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or technical discipline 2+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or Finance Strong negotiation skills and processes Ability to independently lead multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication skills - verbal and written Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Strong Microsoft excel skills Knowledge of Saudi market
