The Jobholder is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Spa, Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool Operation ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and financial performance. Provide leadership, direction and support to the employees at the Spa, Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool to develop a highly motivated team who can deliver high standards of service in all areas. Take responsibility for Health and Safety within the Spa, Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool ensuring adherence to both statutory regulations, InterContinental Hotels Group Company policies, InterContinental brand standards, and Hotel’s internal policies and procedures. To review performance and operational issues on a regular basis with any concerned business partners that the hotel might be engaged with. A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Prepare and implement an annual operating budget and marketing plan for Spa and Fitness Centre. Review and monitor monthly financial performance incorporating proposals and recommendations as required to ensure performance is as expected. Review weekly and monthly revenue and cost budgets with Hotel Manager. Effectively integrate the Spa and Fitness Centre within the Hotel Marketing strategy and to ensure ongoing representation of the spa both internally and externally Plan an annual calendar of promotional events in line with cultural and relevant events. To act as host when required for members, VIP and press visits. To ensure collateral, point of sale and digital promotions reflect the quality and integrity of the Intercontinental brand and are reviewed and updated weekly with online channels Grow Spa & Fitness Centre Review therapists’ performance and deliver training. Manage Overtime, Vacation Balance, with maximum of efficiency, profitability and life balance. Ensure that all new therapists receive full induction program in line with guidelines defined by IHG, Brand Standards, Hotel’s Policy and Procedures as well as Business Partners. Regularly review and monitor all therapists’ treatment performance against standards set in the treatment manual Ensure all staff receive necessary induction and ongoing training to allow them to carry out their role Plan annual staff training calendar and coordinate with partners and to ensure that this is implemented Ensure that all therapists and professional staff hold the necessary qualifications to carry out treatments and services. Carry out or organize all in house training on a regular basis in all areas. Carry out annual appraisals, personal development plans for all Spa, Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool staff and review with staff members.
What We need from you
Communication and customer service skills Hands-on experience with brewing equipment

Possess the ability to work under pressure Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability beauty qualification or other tertiary Degree is desired. Experience of working within a 5-star spa environment at senior level where standards and service delivery are paramount and can be demonstrated with 2 years minimum hands on therapist. Experience in spa marketing and promotion planning and implementation. Fluency in English and Arabic will be ideal with strong verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Arabic. Computer Literate and experience of key spa software is required. Ability and knowledge to take responsibility for financial and operational performance of a multi-functional spa within quality hotel environment with excellent leadership
