Role Objectives
As a Software Backend Engineer II, you will design and maintain backend web applications, collaborate with team members to develop software solutions, and lead small to mid-sized projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion. You will also write technical specifications, participate in code reviews, ensure maintainable and scalable code, and continuously learn and grow in your role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design and maintain the backend of web applications.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement software solutions.
Write technical specifications, tickets, and tasks.
Ship and test new features regularly and ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Lead small to mid-sized projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development process.
Ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and modular with minimum dependency on others.
Continuously learn and grow as a software engineer.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS
+2 years of experience in a software engineering role, specifically working on large scale products.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team to complete projects.
Ability to lead small to mid-sized projects and ensure deliverables are met.
Proven experience in writing tech specs, tickets, and tasks.
Proactive and able to work independently with minimum dependency on others.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
