Today, we are recruiting for a Signaling Site Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.


What are my responsibilities?


  • Coordinate and supervise the indoor and outdoor installation of the Signaling and Telecom equipment.
  • Perform minor technical modifications inside cabinets according to drawings.
  • Clarify technical topics to the installation team.
  • Perform site surveys and support the T&C team in performing Testing & Commissioning related to Signaling and Telecom.
  • Keep the schedule updated with all inputs from onsite activities.
  • Monitor and control all materials that need to be installed.
  • Act as an interface to the customer and internal/external suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations on construction sites.
  • Support contract management regarding claim management.
  • Support the Quantity Surveyor in monitoring site progress.
  • Provide the engineering department with relevant information about As-built (Yellow/Red Drawings).
  • Create installation documents, such as Method Statements.
  • Create minor drawings using tools like AutoCAD.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • A university degree in an engineering discipline or an apprenticeship with many years of professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supporting complex signaling projects in the rail automation industry in an international environment, preferably with longer stays abroad.
  • Extensive experience in managing and controlling several installers simultaneously.
  • Very good knowledge of English and integrative skills, as well as Arabic, due to the strong international orientation of the role.
  • Good skills in using Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment to working in a pressurized environment with conflicting priorities and without permanent supervision.
  • An intermediate level in AutoCAD is desirable.
