Job Summary:
The Pre-Sales Consultant will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to the sales team and customers during the pre-sales process.
This role involves understanding customer needs, proposing solutions, and demonstrating product features to secure new business.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
- Understand and articulate the company's technology and services.
- Provide technical and functional support to the sales team during the pre-sales process.
Customer Engagement:
- Engage with prospective customers to understand their technical and business requirements.
- Conduct needs analysis and provide solutions that meet customer requirements.
Solution Design:
- Design and propose solutions that align with customer needs and company capabilities.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Proposal Development:
- Develop and present proposals, including detailed specifications, diagrams, and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of RFP/RFI responses.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with product capabilities.
- Collaborate with marketing to create technical content for promotional materials.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
- Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in a pre-sales, technical sales, or solutions engineering role.
- Experience in ITSM, cloud computing, and cybersecurity is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Proficiency in [specific tools or software, e.g., CRM systems, ServiceNow, Salesforce].
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
