Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring that materials and products are delivered on time and within budget. The Supply Chain Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Supply Chain Manager in developing efficient supply chain strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement:Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality materials and services at the most competitive prices.
- Inventory Management:Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Logistics Coordination:Coordinate the logistics of shipments, including arranging transportation, tracking deliveries, and managing customs documentation.
- Order Management:Process purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and products.
- Supplier Relations:Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
- Data Analysis:Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Process Improvement:Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the supply chain.
- Reporting:Generate regular reports on supply chain performance metrics and provide insights to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Compliance:Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaboration:Work closely with other departments, such as production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Preferably graduated from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
