Job Description
Development and Design
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of ITS solutions tailored to Egypt's highways.
- Develop scalable, efficient, and secure software applications for real-time traffic and tolling operations.
- Ensure compliance with global and local standards in software design and ITS deployment.
Integration and Testing
- Work closely with system integrators and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation to guarantee system reliability and performance under field conditions.
- Debug and resolve critical software issues during deployment phases.
Collaboration and Support
- Coordinate with vendors (e.g., Huawei, Movyon) and project stakeholders for system updates and feature enhancements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project trials and live operations.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and system workflows.
- Generate detailed progress reports and present updates to project managers and clients.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Communication Engineering.
- Professional Experience:
- 5-7 years in software development with hands-on experience in ITS-related systems or similar domains.
- Proven expertise in large-scale system integration and development for ITS applications (e.g., tolling systems, traffic management, and smart transportation solutions).
- Familiarity with Egyptian regulations and standards for ITS projects is a plus.
- Project Involvement:
- Participated in the design and development of real-time, high-availability systems for traffic and toll management.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, system integrators, and telecommunication experts.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Extensive experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of ITS protocols like NTCIP, DSRC, and RFID.
