Today, we are recruiting for a Senior Site Quality Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility. 


What are my responsibilities? 


  • Implement site quality control procedures, work instructions and inspection checklist.
  • Review method statements and Inspection Test Plan (ITP) in close cooperation with relevant department and QM management.
  • Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management system requirement in accordance with the project quality plan and procedures.
  • Collect statistical quality data to generate quality reports at predefined frequencies.
  • Highlight and report any unauthorized or undocumented site changes and initiate the change request process.
  • Ensure the calibration of all measurement and testing tools according to internal and external standards.
  • Establish appropriate quality control of the material according to project specification.
  • Review and assure that materials certificates, data sheets and test reports are valid and accurate.
  • Coordinate and work closely with all interested parties including site and installation team, project consultant to carry out site activities inspection according to approved method statements and ITPs.
  • Perform site quality walks as well as administer site related non-conforming activities, deviations and report it to the quality manager and involved department.
  • Ensure that the works are carried out as per the specification and approved construction drawing.
  • Check and ensure that required tests are performed and verify its compliance against requirements and witness the tests on a random basis.
  • Coordinate with the site team, consultant, client to resolve QC related problems, if any.
  • Verify the quality records in a traceable, retrievable, and safe manner and maintain a proper log for the records.
  • Record inspection results by completing quality relevant reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
  • Escalate quality-related matters to the consortium quality Manager for taking necessary action.
  • Train the project team members on quality control measures.
  • Propose improvement opportunities to the project.
  • Update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.

What do I need to qualify for this job? 


  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality management, site quality inspections, electrical & mechanical installation inspection, material inspection, QMS auditing.
  • Former experience in railway projects is preferable.
  • Very good knowledge of ISO 9001-2015.
  • Possess Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor certifications from notified bodies.
  • Preferably hold a valid NDT certification from notified bodies (VT, MT, PT, RT, UT)
  • Experience in implementing agile and lean principles.
  • Proficiency in quality methods of risk analysis and quality planning (e.g., assessment, FMEA, initial sampling, etc.) as well as problem management (e.g., 8D)
  • Proficiency in interpreting and understanding technical (drawings, EN standards)
