Job Description

Doka MEA is currently looking to recruit a career driven Senior Project Technician MEA to join its versatile team in Cairo, Egypt. Reporting to the Head of Engineering MEA, this position requires an enthusiastic individual who is capable of managing multiple projects and has extensive experience in formwork design.


You will be responsible for:


  • Managing multiple projects and engineering teams in collaboration with engineers and designers
  • Providing strong leadership while actively promoting knowledge sharing and engineering training and development for the project team
  • Analyzing structural drawings provided by clients
  • Implementing formwork solutions in accordance with project requirements
  • Performing special formwork designs using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Creating formwork designs for client presentations
  • Proposing the most economical and technically sound solutions
  • Conducting basic static calculations and advanced structural analyses
  • Producing material lists, offer drawings, and shop drawings
  • Assisting Sales Engineers with site visits and client presentations
  • Coordinating the timely delivery of shop drawings as per instructions
  • Collaborating with clients to resolve technical issues
  • Ensuring effective coordination with other stakeholders and departments
  • Considering material availability during the design stage
  • Coordinating the availability of the project team with the HoE region

Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil or Technical Engineering and/or equivalent education
  • Minimum five years of experience in formwork engineering (and statics)
  • Knowledge of Doka Formwork Systems will be an advantage
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD; working experience with BIM models in Revit & Inventor is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Thorough understanding of our business model and cross-functional collaboration
  • Good team player with attention to detail and a feel for economic matters
  • Great adaptability; is open to change and can manage it
  • Strong communication skills with conciseness and clarity when communicating with multiple stakeholders, e.g., clients
  • Ability to make decisions, take responsibility, delegate, and deliver presentations
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage a project and its internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel and be mobile
