We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to help develop customer relationships and manage a team of project coordinators to drive KPI results, as well as mentor project coordinators to deliver every project on time within budget and scope. Ideally, the Senior Project Manager will have experience in AI-related Data Annotation, Data Collection or Transcription projects.

Key Responsibilities:


  • In concert with the Sales Team Lead, and Service Delivery Director, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing client relationships including identifying areas of risk and driving metrics across all projects within the program.
  • Help field any client escalations and ensure overall client satisfaction across the program
  • Ability to earn trust and respect from project’s stakeholders; ability to influence decisions that need to be made to drive project success.
  • Attend all client meeting prep and client meeting calls and support project coordinators with managing client expectations, project communication and driving the strategy in the relationship as well as ensuring that WBR slides reflect this
  • Provide direction to project coordinators to follow proper project procedures and protocol
  • In concert with the Delivery Director and PMs, provide strategic direction and help to lead WBRs and QBRs
  • Responsible for project budget and project delivery timelines
  • Oversee the quality, head count and production metrics for all assigned projects. Each week review metrics and drive progress
  • Providing necessary reporting (or mentoring on reporting) throughout various project phases
  • Drive the coordination of internal resources and contractors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Meet SLAs in delivery and quality
  • Mentor Project Coordinators in planning and project execution; avoid mistakes where possible
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Highly Desired Skills:


  • Industry experience in project management for data annotation, labeling and collection projects for machine learning and AI projects
  • Experience managing contractors and remote teams
  • Experience with linguistic, transcription or translation projects

Operations/Team Management:


  • Experience leading teams and conducting performance management reviews and tasks
  • Experience coaching project coordinators or managers of any experience or performance level
  • Project leadership experience with an emphasis on driving metrics and influencing successful outcomes
  • Successful history of following and creating organized project process and structure
  • Strong knowledge and sense of importance towards SLAs and operational aspects
  • Ability to successfully communicate with a team of PMs and PCs and drive their efforts toward common goals and best practices
  • Ability to successfully report on project level progress to senior leadership
  • Advanced ability with PowerPoint and Data Modeling, as well as teaching these skills to PMs, to drive strategic initiatives with clients
  • Ability to negotiate win-win agreements.

Project Management:


  • Solid knowledge of project management processes, methodologies and tools & techniques and ability to adapt them to the organization; understanding of formal and informal organizational structures
  • Proven working experience as a senior project manager (2 years)
  • Ability to work under pressure and against tight deadlines for a prolonged period while maintaining a high level of speed and accuracy to produce accurate results
  • Excellent mathematical skills and statistical knowledge, including advanced Excel.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech savvy with knowledge of linguistic and project management relevant computer programs
  • Strong knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office products and in particular, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Flexible with occasional travel
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and cover U.S. based client’s needs
