Senior Project Engineer - Grid Automation

You as a Senior Project Engineer - Grid Automation will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Cairo, Egypt. Overseeing, directing, and coordinating the Grid Automation project tasks from receipt of orders to the successful commissioning, mainly from the viewpoint of technical coordination between the different internal and external stakeholders ensuring that the project is complete in line with HSE guidelines, technical and contractual requirements, according to the project schedule, and within the assigned budget. Your responsibilities           Responsible for project execution mainly from the viewpoint of engineering coordination after receipt order with good communication with customer, project engineers and factory engineers. Collaborating with Hitachi expert if needed to evaluate the system functionality and address customer issues. Responsible for some commercial and logistical aspects e.g., scope & budget distribution on SAPS/4HANA, supplier orders monitoring, deliveries. You are a local front-end representative supporting the engineers during technical customer meetings, factory and onsite tests. Supervising the project budget & schedule and report deviations as soon as you detect them. Visiting the project sites to supervise the progress and address the issues whenever needed. Preparing project reports about the project and site progress to higher management and to customer. Your background               A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering is required. Minimum 6 years of experience in project lead engineering of SAS / RTU systems. Strong knowledge in collaborative, communication skills and time management, presentation and planning skills. Knowledge of protection and control systems will be an advantage and RTU and substation automation systems philosophy principles of applications and concepts. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
