As a Senior Project Control Engineer, you are responsible for managing and monitoring the Master Project schedule for projects in construction, monitoring the projects’ cashflow status, projects’ efficiency, and productivity levels.
Key Accountabilities- Analyze and review the terms of agreement in technical and commercial tender documents to issue the Project Master Schedule for final approval by relevant internal stakeholders.
- Prepare the overall Master Project Schedule by integrating work breakdown structure (project milestones) with feedback from all relevant parties (ex. contractors, consultants, project managers etc.).
- Communicate the Master Project Schedule with all stakeholders and monitor cashflow performance against schedule.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that costs are kept within the approved budget. This includes analyzing cost variances, conducting reports and cost forecasts, and recommending corrective actions if necessary.
- Prepare periodic progress reports on the Master Project Schedule versus actual and submit them to the relevant internal stakeholders for review and action. Also, issue periodic cashflow reports providing improvement actions.
- Perform probability analysis of completion dates and suggest potential alternatives with the expected deviation from the Master Schedule.
- Prepare a Project Closure Report and submit it to the relevant internal stakeholders, illustrating the performance of the project in respect of the actual versus planned schedule and cashflow.
- Register and archive all projects’ Master Schedules and subsequent reports, to serve as future reference for continuous improvement purposes.
- Identify potential risks and ensure proper implementation of risk control procedures to reduce interruptions and guarantee the project’s progress remains consistent.
- Contribute to process improvement by suggesting practical and innovative ideas, being adaptable and supportive of new methods, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe are looking for:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work with Primavera and other relevant Project Management software.
- Proficient in using Microsoft 365 Apps.
- Excellent data presentation skills and ability to write clearly and concisely
- Excellent command of English Language.
- Strong business communication skills.
- Customer-oriented with a strong focus on results.
- Skill in teamwork, collaboration, and decision-making.
- Proficient in delegation, people management, and planning with follow-through.
- Demonstrates creativity, innovation, and analytical thinking.
- Visits to company sites as per business need might be required.
