Senior Network & Security Engineer
Job Description
Architect and implement comprehensive, layered security solutions to safeguard the organization's on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications, and data
Conduct thorough risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks
Configure, manage, and optimize security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions
Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices
Investigate and respond to security incidents, analyze logs and telemetry data, and implement remediation strategies to minimize the impact of security breaches
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business stakeholders, to align security initiatives with organizational goals and objectives
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and recommend and implement security enhancements to keep the organization's security posture strong
Mentor and train junior security engineers and professionals to develop their skills and expertise
Participate in the development and implementation of the organization's overall cybersecurity strategy
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, communication engineering, or a related field 2-4 Years' as senior security engineering or related role Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Ownership Functional Skills Idea’s presentation and Taking initiative Continuous Learning Customer Centricity Extensive knowledge of network security protocols, standards, and best practices (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS) Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, log analysis) Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Certifications in cybersecurity are highly desirable Experience in security operations, incident response, and threat hunting is a plus
