Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer in Digital Platforms Operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing and optimizing enterprise-level infrastructure, cloud-based platforms, and security systems. The role demands a high degree of proficiency across various technologies, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, databases, email/collaboration platforms, security, and backup solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our digital platforms, focusing on automation, containerization, and network security.
Server Administration (Windows & Linux):
Windows Server Management: Administer and manage Windows Server environments (2012-2022), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and file services.
Linux Server Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) across development, staging, and production environments.
System Optimization: Monitor, tune, and enhance server performance. Ensure high availability, load balancing, and failover mechanisms are in place for critical systems and applications.
Virtualization Management: Oversee and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Cloud infrastructure Openstack.
Design and implement virtual environments, ensuring scalability, high availability, and efficiency.
Storage Solutions:
Manage enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
Configure and maintain storage solutions ensuring data redundancy, backup, and recovery strategies.
SQL Databases:
Expertise in administering SQL databases like MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Perform database performance tuning, backups, restores, and patch management.
Implement and manage high-availability solutions for database environments.
Email & Collaboration Platforms:
Manage and support email systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, OneOffice, and FileCloud.
Ensure email system reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
Email Security Management:
Manage and support Cisco Email Security solutions to safeguard against email-based threats.
Ensure compliance with email security best practices, including anti-spam, anti-malware, and phishing protection.
DNS Management:
Oversee DNS infrastructure using Infoblox for efficient and secure DNS management.
Ensure DNS security, including mitigation of DDoS attacks and unauthorized access.
DNS Security:
Implement and manage DNS security practices, including DNSSEC, anti-spoofing, and protection against DDoS attacks.
DNS Troubleshooting: Resolve complex DNS issues, optimize configurations, and ensure seamless integration with internal and external systems.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions:
Expertise in backup solutions, particularly Veeam and Commvault, for enterprise data protection.
Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
Monitor backup jobs, address issues promptly, and optimize storage usage and backup performance.
Server and Endpoint Security:
Manage and enhance security measures across servers and endpoints, including antivirus, intrusion detection, and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
Patch and Vulnerability Management:
Ensure timely patching and management of software vulnerabilities across all platforms.
Implement and automate patch management processes to minimize exposure to threats.
Security, Monitoring, and Compliance:
Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security threats using advanced monitoring tools.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and company policies.
Work with ITSM solution for incidents and change management
log management and security incident response.
Network Security:
Preferred to have skills and good knowledge of network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPNs.
Understanding of network architectures to protect internal systems and data.
Load Balancers & High Availability:
Preferred to have skills and good knowledge on load balancing solutions to ensure high availability and scalability of services.
Preferred to have skills in technologies like F5, NGINX, or other load balancing solutions.
Cloud & Automation:
Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows to streamline system management, backups, security patches, and other operational tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Containerization & Orchestration:
Good knowledge in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Preferred to have knowledge and skill on container orchestration systems to support microservices architectures.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including network engineers, security teams, and application teams, to ensure smooth operations and integration of digital platforms.
Training & Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform configurations, security policies, backup procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Train junior engineers and teams on best practices and system management.

Technical Skills
• 7+ years of experience in IT operations, with a strong focus on Windows and Linux server administration, Virtualization, Storage solutions (SAN/NAS), and SQL databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), backups, email and systems security, and platform management.
• Extensive experience with backup solutions such as Commvault and Veeam for enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery management.
• Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, OneOffice, and FileCloud collaboration solution.
• Proven experience in DNS management and security using Infoblox or similar DNS platforms.
• Strong experience in email security technologies, particularly Cisco Email Security and knowledge of anti-spam, malware protection, and email threat mitigation.
• Experience with security tools for compliance, including encryption, access controls, and DLP systems.
• Experience with privilege access management software.
• Strong understanding of server and endpoint security tools, vulnerability management, patching processes, and security protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of network security tools, including firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
• Proficient in network architecture, design, and security best practices.
• Strong experience in monitoring, security operations, and compliance management.
• Experience with SIEM, SOC, and incident response protocols.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Openstack, AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
