As a Senior Manager - Sales Effectiveness, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and thought leadership to sales & other business teams for the development and implementation of a robust, innovative execution strategy for sales excellence. You will be responsible for formulating frameworks, tools and processes to ensure continuous business improvement and success. You will also be responsible for optimising the sales process by developing and implementing a Sales Excellence plan and initiatives that drive and standardise sales process compliance and best practices while ensuring synergies across all departments in the organisation. You will lead end-to-end monitoring and reporting of sales and other teams' performances and provide functional support where necessary.


In this role, you will:


Sales Process and Data Quality


  • Regularly review sales team activities to ensure compliance with established processes, guidelines, and best practices;
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of sales data entered into CRM systems, ensuring data integrity for reporting and analysis;
  • Track CRM adoption and usage rates to identify areas for improvement and provide necessary training;
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement;
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness;
  • Track and report on sales metrics, including revenue, quota attainment, and customer satisfaction.

Sales Collateral and Materials


  • Ensure that sales collateral, presentations, and proposals are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with the company's branding and messaging;
  • Assess the quality and effectiveness of sales content, including product information, case studies, and customer testimonials;
  • Evaluate the impact of sales training programs on team performance and knowledge retention;
  • Track sales representatives' skill development and identify areas for improvement;
  • Verify that all sales team members have completed mandatory training courses and certifications.

Customer Satisfaction and Feedback


  • Track customer satisfaction metrics and identify trends or areas for improvement;
  • Review customer feedback, including surveys and complaints, to identify recurring issues and address them proactively;
  • Monitor the resolution of customer complaints and ensure that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Performance Management and Coaching


  • Regularly review sales team performance against established KPIs and identify areas for improvement;
  • Offer coaching and guidance to sales representatives to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals;
  • Monitor adherence to performance standards and take appropriate action to address underperformance.;
  • Collaborate with the CEO to recommend sales strategies around coaching, product, and execution and provide input on budgeting and forecasting.

Business Efficiency


  • Develop strategic plans for improving business efficiency through gap analysis and efficiency optimisation frameworks;
  • Create sustainable synergies across various business functions;
  • Coordinate efficiency projects and activities to ensure continuous adoption of best practices;
  • Perform analytics to gauge the impact and prioritise initiatives;
  • Identify new business areas for growth.

Data Analysis and Reporting


  • Identify and make recommendations on sales strategies such as tactical campaigns, pricing, products and delivery based on sales and client trends;
  • Provide support to the CEO around sales forecasting and budgets;
  • Analyse monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial performance and prepare reports for each client portfolio team and Sales Manager showing actual versus target (budget) performance.

Product development and Service delivery


  • On-going development of the CRM system based on data analytics and cross-functional requirements;
  • Identify and make recommendations on improvements to ways of working that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business and the operational effectiveness of their internal customers;
  • Support transitional arrangements to the new operating model.

Company-wide Stakeholder Management


  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with cross-functional stakeholders to inform and enable improvements in the quality of business delivery;
  • Build a network of internal sponsors and supporters to help influence decision-making;
  • Undertake thought leadership; identify, manage and coach Sales Directors and Sales Managers on how best to realise the benefits of the sales force.
