Senior logistics specialist

ABOUT SHIFT EV:
Shift EV is a fast-growing electric vehicle technology company, based in Cairo, Egypt. Our vision is to
accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Egypt and the region by developing state-of-the-art
electric drivetrain solutions. You will work with world-class technology veterans from MIT, University of
Grenoble, Intel and Corning to build a venture with transformative potential.
YOU’LL WORK ON:
You’ll be part of the Supply Chain Team and a critical part of the Purchase Order cycle. You will be
responsible for Logistics coordination, documentation and customs clearance.
YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:
● Logistics Planning: Develop efficient logistics plans to align with supply chain objectives.
● 3PL Management: Oversee selection, negotiation, and performance of third-party logistics
providers. Ensure accountability and adherence to standards.
● Purchase Order Review: Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and shipping documents.
● Documentation Oversight: Manage timely issuance and delivery of shipment documents.
Ensure proper labeling and packing.
● Shipment Handling: Manage logistics from origin to warehouse for Air and Sea shipments,
including carrier bookings and documentation.
● Import Procedures Management: Handle customs clearance, duty payments, ACID issuance,
and regulatory compliance for imports.
● Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse staff for delivery, storage and inventory
management.
● Process Optimization: Continuously improve logistics operations for efficiency and cost
reduction.
● Budget Management: Develop and oversee the logistics budget for cost-effective operations.
● Performance Monitoring and Compliance: Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure
regulatory compliance and risk management.
YOU ARE:
● Bachelor degree in engineering, supply chain or similar
● 3-4 years of work experience with exposure to SC, Procurement and logistics related topics
● Experience working with SAP is a plus
● Previous interactions with freight forwarders and customs preferred
● An audacious and ambitious enthusiast for cleantech and climate change mitigation, with a
passion for electric vehicles. You want to change the world!
● A resourceful problem solver with a track record of working on entrepreneurial or
intrapreneurial projects
● An excellent communicator who is able to work with different styles of people and influence
different stakeholders
● You have a lot of grit and agility to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
