Cairo GTS, Egypt (On-Site)
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure production on Installation engineering activities in line with Project strategy.
- Able to Manage teams assuring to reach project targets (delivery, quality of works, budget)
- Ensure application of Hitachi Rail Strategy, Policies and Technical Standards (including local regulations and professional standards)
- Ensure application of HSE policy and standards to installation works
- Manage their own environment at a remote location in terms of cleanliness, organization, workload, risk assessments
- Successfully complete the required classroom and on-site training needed to perform the role
- Once certified provide guidance and on-site training to other engineers on site and report back to the Installation Manager accordingly
- Upon completion of any work on site, the engineer is required to complete and submit to the Installation Manager and local business unit all relevant reports, backups and signed documentation
- When not on site, the engineer will be required to assist the Engineering department, either remotely or in the office, with technical advice and support or to complete other tasks as directed by the Installation Manager
- Provide effective, efficient technical support assistance and service to our customers in a professional and courteous manner via inbound calling, on-line chat, support portals, and ticketing
- Proactively address alerts and dashboard to determine if issues exists and work towards resolution Listing and get the agreement of the list of documents to be provided with schedule and in accordance with the reference library (Analysis of reusable documents, gaps)
- Report as per Installation Manager request on the progress of the delivery of the document to be provided as per schedule
- Support the Installation Manager for review of the Installation Engineering activities, including Risk identification and mitigation proposal
- Interface with other Project stakeholders – internal or external - for getting needed data, for delivering the Installation Engineering documentation / drawings (Application design, CW, Track)
- Identify and report on issues on document and drawing delivered and provide REX on main route cause of issues and on reference library evolution
- Prepare and execute Installation Engineering activities (Site survey, drawings, …) in support of one or several Projects in conformance with Hitachi Rail policies and standards, applicable regulations and technical standards (including local regulations, professional standards, EHS, language translations)
- Coordinates and implements customer installation activities in a time sensitive manner
