Accountabilities (South Africa)



Reportsto Senior Finance Manager ELI & ZA (Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran and South Africa)
Coordinates preparation of forecasts and budgets Provides recommendations to BU based on analysis of deviations from budgets Provides leadership, consultancy and financial support to various company functions, teams and departments Acts as link between Finance and Business Units Acts as link between Business Units and SCM (Production Planning) Manages the reporting processes (Analytical Management)

Responsibilities (South Africa)



Own the financial planning cycles and enable the right decision making by providing accurate and clear financial analysis, modelling of "what if" scenarios as well as coordination cross functionally to ensure the plan is driving the right and strong assumptions base. Ensures timely production of monthly forecasts of sales trends in coordination with business analysts; supports production planning Monitors actual and forecasted cost and revenues (on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis) as well as ensure the right controls are in place. Leads long-term planning support activities. Ensures all company data is collected, derived and consolidated data from all departments in order to produce reliable forecasting and plans Monitors contracts (insurances, leasing, rents, etc.) Leads F&A projects locally and may participate in International projects Ensures budget data is accurately submitted in Anaplan/ Hyperion. Communicates and provides direction to BU Managers about financial trends and their business implications. Provides decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions)

Authority



Take decisions within the agreed company guidelines Take the ownership and decide on the claims, DNs and CNs to vendors and distributors with its related payments Decide on the best resource allocation to maximize business growth across the cluster

Outputs



Financial Analysis for decision support Budget, Latest Estimate (i.e., LE) Sales forecasts for production planning Long-range plan / Country Operating Plan Management reporting to management team and the different departments Presentations on demand of management team and the different departments Management reporting to the parent company

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements



Degree in Economics or Business Administration Experience of 5-7 years work in similar position/s in an international environment, preferably in pharma industry Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication Excellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements



Studies specialized in finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting, consolidating) MBA would be an advantage Experience in various areas of finance and accounting Experience of 2 to 3 years in a Management position within an international finance department would be an asset Industry knowledge Basic know-how of applicable laws concerning business admin, taxes (esp. VAT), accounting and consolidation Basic knowledge of US GAAP Experience with SAP Experience with Hyperion, Anaplan COGNOS GPS planning and reporting (Powerplay)
