AtkinsRealis is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Wet Utilities for our Middle east delivery team to be based in Cairo, Egypt. As a Senior Engineer-Wet utilities, would be involved in the creation of designs of various projects related to wet utilities; would be involved on a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs).
Responsibilities:
Develop Concept, Preliminary, Detailed design, related calculations specification and documentation.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
Performs pump system engineering calculations, hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
Develop and analyze hydraulic models. Use the design knowledge to optimize and develop options for the storm drainage schemes.
Multi-Discipline coordination's and coordination's with LPOs and Clients.
Develop sustainable solutions and try for carbon-low designs working towards NetZero.
Apply basic knowledge and experience of working on ProjectWise, MS teams, SharePoint sites etc.
Check 3D models/drawings, components and interface between design and BIM software's.
Involve in clash analysis, resolution and work on federated 3Dmodels
Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits.
Develop the Design report/ specifications for variety of projects.
To perform work with minimum supervision.
To work in various CDE- ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS teams, SharePoint sites etc.
To performs quality control checks of design calculations or drawings.
Should be able to present design solutions in meeting with clients/LPOs as required.
Developing improving design tools, checklists and coordination with GTC digital teams.
Able to perform good self-checks. And support in team development, skill enhancement.
Apply AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).
Embrace digital engineering and promoting innovative engineering design solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a reputed institute
A Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
Working experience to Middle East Standards.
Experience of working in the water and drainage Industry, wet utilities design (storm, foul water, Potable water and TSE) for UK, Middle East and other regions.
Experience in International Standards and Middle East Standards.
Experience of leading and delivering major Infrastructure projects at Master plan, Concept and Detailed Design stages.
Positive Attitude and eagerness to learn and use new water-related design software's, tools and processes for automation and digital efficiency as per the project and business requirement.
Familiarity with ME/BS or similar international Codes of Practice.
Hands on experience of various storm water related software's like Microdrainage, CivilStorm, StormCAD, SewerCAD, etc. Working knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D, Microstation and/or Open Roads/ Inroads/ MX Road, Revit. Navisworks, Revit etc.
Good ability to use water related design software's, tools and processes for automation and digital efficiency.
Good understanding of various design standards and its application in the water industry.
Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team on them.
Good written and verbal English language communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with colleagues, seniors, team members and clients.
Experience of major Infrastructure projects at feasibility and detailed design stages.
A team player and work in collaboration.
Chartered member or working towards chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent)
