Data Testing Lead to oversee the testing efforts of our data systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data testing with leadership experience in QA processes for data projects, including data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and data quality management. You will manage the end-to-end testing process, coordinate between teams and the client, and ensure testing is aligned with business and technical requirements.
Lead and oversee the Data Quality Assurance testing lifecycle, including the development of test strategies, test plans, and test execution. Manage and mentor a team of testers, guiding them in test scenario design, execution, and defect resolution. Oversee Database/Data Warehouse/ETL testing, ensuring high data quality, consistency, and integrity across all systems. Drive test automation initiatives for data testing, leveraging tools and frameworks like Java, Python, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to align test coverage with project goals. Ensure proper documentation of all test cases, results, and defect tracking, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Take ownership of the Defect Management process, ensuring timely resolution and coordination with development teams. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data governance and data security. Participate in Agile project management processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

The Teradata Core Test Engineering team works with advanced database technologies allowing us to build exciting new features that unlock business value for our customers. As the Test Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Data & Analytics, Consulting MEA.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
6+ years of experience in Data Quality Assurance with expertise in ETL and Data Warehouse Testing.
Strong leadership experience in managing and coordinating testing efforts across teams. Proficiency in advanced SQL scripting and data validation techniques. Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including Star Schema, multi-dimensional models, and slowly changing dimensions (SCD). Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipeline integration for continuous testing. Proven ability to design and implement test automation frameworks for backend systems. Experience with Defect Management processes using tools like JIRA, TFS, or ALM. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working across multiple teams and stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
