Job Description
As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data warehousing solutions, and delivering impactful dashboards and business intelligence reports. Leveraging your expertise in advanced SQL queries, data modeling, and analytics, you will ensure the organization’s data infrastructure supports strategic decision-making and business growth.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate complex data into actionable insights and enable seamless access to reliable data for reporting and analytics.
Description:
- Develop and Optimize Data Pipelines: Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into centralized storage systems.
- Data Warehousing: Design and implement scalable data warehouse architectures to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Advanced SQL Queries: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration of structured and unstructured data from various internal and external systems.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, storage, and query execution times.
Define KPIs to measure product and project success, including operational efficiency and user satisfaction. - Analyze user feedback and system data to continuously improve product performance.
- Ensure the product complies with industry standards and local regulations for waste management.
- Develop reporting tools to support clients in achieving sustainability goals and legal compliance.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and develop intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Preferably Dundas BI.
- KPI Reporting: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Data Visualization: Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through effective data visualization techniques.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and support to business users to maximize the utility of BI tools and dashboards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data analysts, developers, and business teams to align data solutions with organizational goals.
- Data Governance: Enforce data quality, security, and governance policies to ensure reliable and secure data access.
- Innovation: Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and BI, recommending improvements to existing solutions.
