Senior Buyer – Indirect Materials & Logistics
Cairo, Egypt
Are you a strategic procurement professional with expertise in Indirect Materials, Logistics, and Services? We are seeking a Senior Buyer to drive category strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Commodity Management – Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Logistics, Goods, and Services categories.
- RFQ & Supplier Management – Lead RFQs, supplier selection, benchmarking, and contract negotiations.
- Spend Analytics & Cost Optimization – Analyse BOM costs, identify savings opportunities, and ensure competitive pricing.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) – Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to drive performance and value.
- Procurement Processes – Oversee the entire procurement cycle, including early business engagement, negotiations, order processing, and contracting.
- Continuity of Supply – Ensure a stable supply chain by managing supplier relationships and mitigating risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Procurement or Commodity Management, preferably in Indirect Materials and Logistics.
- Strong strategic procurement skills with a proven track record in cost management and supplier negotiations.
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess market trends and optimize procurement decisions.
- Effective communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders and suppliers.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and other procurement tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Operations Procurement Activities (Spend management, Negotiations, Supply management, Cost Management)
- Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills
- Handling ambiguity in a constantly evolving operations environment
- Familiar with digital platform and how to use it is a plus.
