Job Description
The Senior Buyer will manage procurement activities ,ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong data analysis skills, effective supplier management, and oversight of the procurement of equipment and materials to meet our operational needs and client demands.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet company standards in quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Review purchase requisitions, perform cost-benefit analyses, and manage the purchase order process from initiation to fulfillment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and address issues related to quality, timeliness, and service levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers on cost-saving opportunities and delivery improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to avoid stockouts and excess stock situations.
- Implement strategies to control costs while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
- Align purchasing activities with inventory targets and analyze inventory data to support procurement decisions.
- Use data analysis skills to assess purchasing patterns, forecast demand, and identify trends that affect procurement.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry pricing, product trends, and potential new suppliers.
- Provide data-driven insights to the Supply Chain Manager to support strategy development and decision-making.
- Ensure that all procurement activities align and comply with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records for audit and compliance purposes.
