Senior Accountant is responsible for performing and coordinating accounting duties within
LXT. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, consolidation
of financials, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting
with audit preparations and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and general ledger.
- Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
- Preparing monthly financial statements including consolidation of financial statements
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non- compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Liaise with our Financial Controller and Accounting Manager to improve financial policies & procedures
- Performing other accounting ad hoc duties and reports
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- At least 5 years of accounting experience is required
- In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & its implementation
- Expertise consolidation of financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Hands-on experience with accounting software QuickBooks, Oracle or other accounting system
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA or Masters) will be preferred
