Job Description
As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting our agile teams in the adoption and implementation of Scrum, with a strong emphasis on using Jira for project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure effective team collaboration and communication using Jira.
- Guide and support the team in understanding and applying agile principles and the Scrum framework.
- Utilize Jira to manage and track the team’s work, ensuring transparency and visibility of progress and impediments.
- Identify and remove impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, enabling them to deliver high-quality work consistently.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure that the team’s work aligns with the product vision and goals.
- Assist the Product Owner in building and maintaining the product roadmap and product backlog.
- Monitor and report on team performance using Jira metrics, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Support the team in maintaining a sustainable pace and a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in using Jira for agile project management, including setting up boards, tracking progress, and generating reports.
- Basic skills and knowledge of Scrum principles, ceremonies, and artifacts.
- Experience with Kanban methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in assisting the Product Owner in building a product roadmap and managing the product backlog.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to identify and resolve impediments, helping the team to achieve their goals.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) is preferred but not required.
