Job Description

The overall purpose of Scientist II in the Technical Service is to be lab-based and to provide help to the field-based Territory Managers, Area Technical Managers, and customers. The role is responsible for coordinating and executing lab requests and assisting with associated technical projects concerning MEA (including Turkey) customers to create or secure business.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
  • The Scientist II is mainly responsible for testing customers’ articles and preparing result presentations. This function is a key driver for adhesive application recommendations and improvement suggestions for H.B. Fuller’s customers.
  • Analyze competitor products and compare them to Fuller products for the same applications. Maintain a database of competitive products by market and how they compare to Fuller products.
  • Maintain a database of results of all technical tests completed and results achieved.
  • In terms of internal and external technical complaints/claims, the function includes assisting QC/QM and production in elaborating on the cause and taking care of correctives. In terms of new product developments or product improvements, the Scientist II will cooperate with R&D.
  • Technical support for customers: A Scientist II job involves presenting test results or attending line audits at customers’ sites.
