AS a SAP Senior FICO Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions to meet the retail organization’s financial management needs. You will work closely with finance and accounting teams, as well as business stakeholders, to ensure that SAP FICO solutions support business goals and are efficiently integrated into other areas of the business.
key Accountabilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI & CO modules, ensuring alignment with retail business needs.
- Configure GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Cost/Profit Center Accounting for accurate financial management.
- Develop customized financial reports, dashboards, and data analytics to support decision-making.
- Enhance SAP FICO workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline financial operations.
- Ensure seamless data transfer across SAP modules (MM, SD, HR) and external systems.
- Provide ongoing support, resolve financial system issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Train business users, mentor junior consultants, and promote SAP FICO best practices.
- Manage SAP FICO implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Work closely with finance, supply chain, retail operations, and IT to align financial processes.
Knowledge , Skills , Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP FICO consulting, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in a retail or consumer-facing environment.
- Strong knowledge of core SAP FI/CO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Cost Center/Profit Center accounting.Expertise in SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and SAP CO (Controlling) module configuration and customization.
- Experience with integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, HCM) and external systems.
- Strong experience with SAP reporting tools and technologies (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, Ad-hoc Queries).
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP FI/CO certification is highly desirable.
- Exposure to project management frameworks such as Agile or Waterfall, and experience in leading or supporting SAP projects.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP Fiori for next-gen user interfaces and reporting solutions is a plus.
