As a SAP Senior BW & SAC Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions for our retail operations. This role involves working with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements, ensuring the integration of SAP BW and SAC for data-driven decision-making, and delivering actionable insights to support retail business functions.
key Accountabilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP BW solutions, including data modeling, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for retail-specific data.
- Implement and configure SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting, planning, and forecasting needs within the retail business.
- Develop and deploy BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations in SAC to deliver meaningful business insights to stakeholders.
- Integrate SAP BW with other SAP modules such as SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP FICO, and SAP Vistex to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Design and implement custom reports and dashboards in SAC for key retail performance metrics, including sales analysis, inventory management, and customer insights.
- Implement predictive analytics and planning solutions in SAC to support forecasting, demand planning, and financial planning in the retail industry.
- Optimize SAP BW and SAC system performance to ensure that large data sets and reports can be processed efficiently within the retail environment.
- Provide expert advice on best practices for leveraging SAP BW and SAC to meet business requirements for reporting and analytics.
- Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, data models, and reports to ensure knowledge transfer and ease of use for the organization.
- Stay current with the latest SAP BW and SAC features and innovations, evaluating new functionalities and upgrades to improve system capabilities and business value.
- Lead or participate in SAP BW and SAC implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
Knowledge , Skills , Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with SAP BW and SAP SAC, with at least 2 full lifecycle implementations in the retail or consumer-facing industry.
- Experience in developing and optimizing complex data models, reports, and dashboards in SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Strong knowledge of SAP BW data modeling, ETL processes, and report generation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including the creation of stories, dashboards, and planning applications.
- Proficiency in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BW on HANA, and integration with SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in SAP HANA modeling, query design, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with SAP BusinessObjects (BO) for reporting and integration with BW.
- Knowledge of SAP Data Services or other ETL tools for data integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: SAP BW or SAC certifications are a plus.
- Retail Industry Experience: Experience with retail-specific BI and analytics solutions, including sales, inventory, and financial performance tracking.
- Advanced Analytics: Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence in the context of retail business intelligence is a plus.
- Cloud & Integration Experience: Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and integration with other cloud-based applications.
