FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR, RN-BSN PROGRAM



DEPARTMENT: School of Nursing
POSITION TITLE: FULL-TIME INSTRUCTOR, RN-BSN PROGRAM
SUPERVISOR: Director, School of Nursing
PURPOSE: Full-time instructor for RN-BSN program assumes responsibility, under the guidance of the Program Director of RN-BSN Program, for the delivery of 100% online instruction. This is a 12-month academic year position with a 15-hour workload expectation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Incorporate student learning teaching/learning strategies in the online setting. Evaluate student performance Participate in School of Nursing Committees Available to students as identified by University Policy Statement. PS:231 Provide input toward curriculum development and alignment as identified by School of Nursing policies, University policies, Louisiana State Board of Nursing Regulations, and ACEN standards Travel to LSUA campus on a quarterly basis for required curriculum development, accreditation compliance, face-to-face leadership collaboration Required to teach 15 workload hours per regular semester and 12 workload hours in the summer

QUALIFICATIONS:



Master’s degree in Nursing, Doctorate Degree in Nursing preferred Active RN Compact license Two years clinical experience as registered nurse One year teaching experience in nursing education Experience in teaching in the online environment preferred
HOURS: While this position is remote, work expectations equate to eight (8) hours per day, Monday – Friday 40 hours a week. Additional hours to accommodate the online student, orientation requirements, or School of Nursing requests as needed.
