About the role
The Product Development team works across a number of research themes broadly aimed at improving the quality and shelf-life of blood products,and making them safer for patients receiving a blood transfusion. We use our expertise in cellular biology, molecular biology and immunology to understand both how blood products change during routine storage and to develop new ways of storing blood products.
You will provide research support across a number of projects on blood donation. Our goal is to deliver leading edge research that translates into evidence-based business practice, while expanding academic knowledge about blood donation. You will use experience and/or intellectual expertise to generate and analyse data, and from time to time, provide advice and recommendations in relation to project outcomes.
• Completed an Honours degree (Biomedical/Life Sciences) or equivalent
• At least one year’s experience in cell biology and molecular biology, immunology or haematology
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate laboratory records
• The ability to assimilate complex concepts and integrate into practical application
• An excellent communicator with great verbal and written skills
• Analytical in your approach to problem solving
• Able to undertake and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
