Job Profile:
- Within a regional procurement center, the Tactical Buyer is involved in the transactional procurement process of PR/PO (Procurement Requisition/Procurement Order).
- Also responsible for transforming a PR into a PO, in a time frame (SLA) and to follow up the PO.
- The Tactical Buyer may periodically be required to expedite and follow-up on Procurement orders to ensure specific timing and quality requirements are met, including post award responsibility for supplier deliveries.
- In addition, the Tactical Buyer will support in data analytics, quotes summaries, discrepant supplier inputs, and other tasks related to the sourcing process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive procurement requests and verifying their conformity to operating methods.
- Transform procurement requests into procurement orders.
- Manage purchasing order cancellation, rescheduling or PO information change.
- Analyse of quotations and summarization for category buyers.
- Make sure that suppliers acknowledge P.O. receipt and provide delivery commitment.
- Follow-up and expediting of Procurement orders.
- Ensure accuracy of the order, GL account, or project number, ship to location, supplier information on Procurement order, and relevant notes/comments on the Procurement order document.
- Manage disputes and problem solution.
- Manage local negotiations within the DoA threshold.
- RFx management in e-ACQ under DoA.
- Prepare reports on Procurements, including cost analysis.
- Has a strong impact on the contribution of the services level by transforming the PR into PO in the dedicated time.
- Maintain close relationship with Suppliers.
- Identify, develop and make improvements to new ideas, techniques, procedures, services, and/ or products).
- Share ideas or approaches to aid in operational efficiency and improvements.
Education Requirements and Work Experience Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience.
- Fluent English speaker, French is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or marketing.
- Familiar with Microsoft word , EXCEL.
- Familiarity with Procurement processes, RFP/RFQ, negotiation, contracting.
- SAP experience preferred, with particular attention to Contracts and Procure to Pay.
- Familiarity with Procurement processes, tender, negotiation, contracting.
- Local language native to the region.
