Maintain deep knowledge of commodities in specific plastic resins and feedstock related, including global market trends, sourcing strategies, material properties, etc.
Oversee the evaluation, selection, and negotiation with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Oversee the import and export activities to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. Monitor and manage import/export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
Expertise in PCR and biomaterials resins.
Develop and implement recycling and sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and promote environmentally friendly practices.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Controlling, Operations, etc., to ensure alignment of procurement activities with global and regional strategy.
Develop and manage the regional procurement budget with Sales, ensuring cost control and financial performance. It includes during the year, high alignment with sales to ensure correct pricing analysis to customers commercial proposal.
Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management focus on regional and global strategy.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What makes you great
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
10 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on category expertise (at least 5 years in a leadership role).
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures.
Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Expertise in category management including market trends, sourcing, and application.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (ERP/ inverse auctions, etc.)
Fluent in written and spoken English and simplified Chinese is an advantage.
