PURPOSE OF THE JOB is to Ensure Product/service Quality compliance according to Customer & Internal specifications
and this will through the Responsibilities as bellow
- Manage non conformities : Support NCR team to complete characterization until closure using Problem Solving methodology (e.g. QRQC, 8D)
- Manage Quality processes
- Participate in Customer Inspections
- Qualify manufacturing teams regarding the Self-Inspection
- Manage Workstation Dynamic Checklists (Self-Inspection & Workstation Inspection), Plan & Perform Workstation Audit based on Service Quality Assessment check list and other related Check list.
- Perform or participate to inspections of products when required.
- Deploy Return of Experience Process
- To work with the Project Quality & Safety Manager to ensure that the requirements of the Alstom Management Systems and Quality and Continuous Improvement activities are met, ensure all Quality and Railway Safety documentation, processes and procedures are current, controlled and communicated,
- Follow up Quality Objectives
- Participate to Criticality Matrix analysis & contribute to Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect & Analysis)
- Participates in daily meetings and fulfills daily priorities as set by the Incoming Inspection leader.
- Ensure the use of calibrated equipment and instrumentations used in the inspections,
- follow APSYS requirements
Manage incoming inspections:
- Perform inspections according to Incoming Control Plan,
- Accept or Reject products as defined in the inspection instruction/ checklist,
- Records inspection results in the digital tools as required,
- Accurately document Non-conformity when applicable with clear characterization,
- Complete all associated Non-conformity activities such as completing the QM order, blocking stock and tasking appropriate parties in the ERP system (ex GSI) to initiate the NCR resolution process,
Experience & Education

- Degree in Engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical…) or equivalent for Engineer
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems,
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen,
- Experience or understanding of quality assurance processes and regulations in the railway industry,
- be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
A certification in quality engineering or a strong capability in technical communication.
experience with Special Process
Desirable:
Railway experience is a "plus".
