TITLE: Project Officer - Promoting Inclusive Empowerment for Women, Girls and Boys in Upper Egypt
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Program operations. LOCATION: Asyut

CONTRACT LENGTH:Fixed Term Agreement

Level 3 – You will have contact with children and young people; frequently because S/He will be involved in field activities.



ROLE PURPOSE:


Save the children is implementing 3 years project that will take place in Asyut Governorate. The project is implemented in cooperation with Humanity and Inclusion Organization (HI) to provide inclusive livelihood opportunities to Women, Girls and Boys.


Project Officer will be responsible for day to day planning and implementing project activities, supervises the implementation of activities under the partner NGO, develop monthly reports, manage relationships with stakeholders in Assiut, cooperate with the project's technical team in ensuring quality implementation. Close follow up for the local CDAs and provide intensive capacity building and technical support to the CDAs, also; managing the modification and adaption of life skills modules, manage the delivery of TOTs provided for partners’ technical team, CSOs and facilitators. Supports in development of Monitoring tools and ensures quality of implementation.



SCOPE OF ROLE:


Reports to: Project Senior officer.


Staff Reporting to this post: None.



KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY


· Work Closely with project senior officer to develop annual – quarter and monthly plans.


· Support the project team in an active manner to set plans and monitoring tools for partners.


· Participate in capacity assessment for partner and set capacity building plans accordingly.


· Actively coordinate with HI in the planning and implementation of joint activities.


· Monitor beneficiary selection and verification with partners also monitor the implementation of field activities.


· Provide timely reporting for the activities and filed updates with clear recommendations and learnings that speaks to the needs of beneficiaries.


· Assure that field activities, local CDAs and partner NGO and their relevant staff; all adhere to SCI’s Child Safeguarding policy and procedures.


· Assist in developing communication material in cooperation with communication department.


· Actively participate in conducting documentation, baseline, midterm and end line for the project.


· Responsible for preparation of workshops and trainings delivered through the project on SCI level.


· Support MEAL assistant and the partner NGO to use the tools developed for monitoring and evaluation; in an efficient and effective manner bringing quality data and information.


· Monitor the capacity improvement and quality of performance for field staff in the partner NGO and local CDAs, providing recommendations to boost their performance.


· Responsible for filing system and keep track of filling system on partner level.


· In conjunction with partner NGO; facilitate the visits that will be hosted by the project.


· Actively support in tracking the budget vs Planning on partners and SCI levels.


· Ensure that gender sensitive / inclusion approaches are taking place throughout all project interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS


· Bachelor degree in a related field.



EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


· 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the field of livelihood and economic projects.


· Very good in English with strong written and oral communication skills.


· Solid experience in providing trainings and coaching to staff.


· Demonstrated ability to conduct regular and intensive field visits to ensure quality of implementation.


· Experience in monitoring and following up seed funding, preferably with youth.


· Experience in adapting, delivering and following up life skills materials.


· Familiar with working in youth led projects and entrepreneurship initiatives.


· Awareness of gender – child sensitive programming and approaches.


· Active networking with stakeholders, especially youth led formal and informal groups in addition to private sector.


· Fair knowledge about community mobilization mechanisms.


· High level of communication skills.


· Very good command of written and spoken English
