The project:


A residential and mixed-use development, consisting of multiple mid-rise buildings.


Accountable for the delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements. Provides high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery, whilst having accountability for compliance, governance, assurance. Manages teams of technical and construction staff. Builds and retains relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders

You’ll be responsible for:


  • Manages MEP packages on projects ensuring delivery is in compliance with Mace standards.


  • Accountable for the successful delivery of the MEP service package(s) including management of the programme, health safety and wellbeing, quality and commissioning of projects.


  • Liaises and coordinates with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders.


  • Ensures specialist packages and appointments are procured against the agreed scope demarcation and to budget.


  • Manages budgets, value engineering, schedules and trade contracts, and the provision of support to the commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle in terms of reviewing progress or resolving issues.


  • Deployment of project strategic plans in conjunction with operating framework and strategic priorities, such as prefabrication (C2P), commissioning and safety.


  • Supports design reviews on information provided by consultants and trade specialists, checking for compliance, coordination and completeness, including embodied carbon and operational energy associated with the MEP services design, in accordance with RIBA and BSRIA design frameworks.


  • Coordinates delivery strategies and programmes for project phases, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are all properly considered.


  • Implements commissioning strategies in line with the Mace commissioning standards inclusive of IST approach, ATP’s and soft landings.


  • Undertakes productivity assessments using digital technologies to ensure the project/package is on schedule, identifying trends, key issues and/or critical path.


    Supports project close out, ensuring elements of completion are delivered to a high standard, such as commissioning, as built drawings, O&M Manuals and client training.


  • Proactively identification of risk and the production of mitigation plans.


  • Supports the review of issues to drive continuous improvement and providing lessons learned through the knowledge share process.


  • Manages a team of professional roles, driving performance and results, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching.


  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.


You’ll need to have:


  • A relevant engineering degree qualification.


  • Professional membership or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.


  • Excellent communication skills.


You’ll also have:


  • Excellent IT skills.


  • Progressive and successful experience in designing and delivering MEP systems, specifically in the commercial sector, in Egypt and through MEA.


  • Detailed knowledge of engineering systems including design standards and frameworks, installation techniques, best practice, engineering processes, prefabrication and system commissioning requirements, sufficient to manage the project team on programme from an initial tender period through to contract completion.


  • Strong stakeholder management skills.


  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
