Production Manager
What this role is about?
The position’s overall objective is to effectively direct the activities of the production department to produce the highest quality products in a timely manner to satisfy customer requirements and in line with company standards. The person will be responsible for achieving the financial and operational goals quantified in the approved plants’ business plan or better.
What will you do?
- Directs operations of processing cigarettes according to specifications, plans, and client requirements. Implements new methods and production processes. Manage department staffing, adjust shift patterns as necessary, ensure balanced teams based on individual skills, manage time & attendance reporting (time sheets), assess overtime requirements and request approval. Actively contribute to the annual and strategic planning process
- Manage Maintenance Operations ensuring that production machinery, equipment, facilities are maintained and/or modified to meet present and future needs with focus on spare parts consumption and machinery utilization level. Ensure equipment and human resources proper operation
- Direct, plan, schedule and organize all production activities necessary to produce planned production requirements, on time, best cost, positive results within KPI measurements in accordance with production plan and overall strategic plan
- Provide support, development, coaching, and supervision to the local Production team securing adequate resources allocation and balanced distribution of tasks while ensuring appropriate development of each team member of the Production function
- Ensure that Company Policies & Procedures, and Best Practices are implemented and maintained. Constantly contacts with Team leads in order to monitor results and efficiency
- Supervise and ensure the abidance by the factory safety rules, provides strict control/inspection in cooperation with EHS Department. Responsible for production facilities housekeeping standards – 5S3R implementation as a “way of life” in all production related facilities
- Drive suggestion system, initiate and implement KPI improvement programs
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or any other relevant field
- 3+ Years in Management Positions is mandatory
- Previous experience in the manufacturing field
- Proficiency within MS Office package as well as being ERP user
- Fluency in English
