As a Procurement Director, you are responsible for developing reliable strategic systems and policies aimed at ensuring effective and efficient corporate procurement and material management practices, which in turn support the organization’s core objectives. Moreover, to help navigate the challenges and opportunities encountered due to market fluctuation, this includes managing pressures on pricing, leveraging purchasing opportunities, and adapting to advancements in communication and information technology.


Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on cost, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Create and manage procurement plans to optimize operations and efficiency.
  • Oversee contract development, negotiation, and performance to ensure compliance and project requirements are met.
  • Manage contract timelines, updates, and collaborate with legal teams for clarifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and resource availability.
  • Identify new vendors, evaluate performance, and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Lead bidding and tendering processes for goods and services while aligning procurement with project needs.
  • Contribute to project budgets, track procurement expenditure, and ensure cost control while preparing financial reports.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline procurement workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with procurement policies, risk management practices, and sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee inventory management, materials tracking, and regular audits to ensure resource availability.
  • Develop strategies to balance resource management with environmental sustainability goals.
  • Track procurement performance, prepare reports, and drive improvements through analysis and industry best practices.
  • Monitor trends to identify opportunities for innovation and operational excellence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are looking for:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Hold any certifications (PMP, CSCP, etc.) are preferred.
  • +10 years of experience of functional experience with real estate and /or construction background with recent experience in a management-level position, is a must.
  • Professional knowledge in construction industry methods, and applications.
  • Knowledge of related laws and legislation, and FIDIC contracts.
  • Excellent management of financial resources.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 Apps.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems is required, and exposure to ERP implementation is preferred.
  • Excellent data presentation skills and ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Excellent command of English Language.
  • Strong business communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a strong focus on results.
  • Skill in teamwork, collaboration, and decision-making.
  • Proficient in delegation, people management, and planning with follow-through.
  • Visits to company sites as per business need might be required.
