Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of database solutions to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the planning and optimization of database infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools.
- Manage and maintain the organization's database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improvement.
- Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization for databases.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize application database interactions and ensure efficient query execution.
- Enforce database security standards, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing.
- Drive initiatives for implementing modern database platforms, including cloud-based solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including critical outages and failures.
- Develop and maintain incident response procedures to minimize downtime.
