As a Primary DesignEngineer you will be actively engaged in delivering complex substation projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi and international standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The role involves providing technical expertise in electrical design, ensuring that all aspects of substation projects are well-coordinated and executed within deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
- Developing primary electrical designs for HV and EHV substations, ensuring alignment with client specifications and standards.
- Preparing and reviewing detailed drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications for project execution.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and resolving design-related issues with clients, vendors, and construction teams.
- Ensuring designs meet local Saudi regulations and international standards (IEC, IEEE, SASO, SEC).
- Providing mentorship to junior engineers and offering technical assistance during installation and commissioning phases.
- Preparing technical reports and regularly updating stakeholders on project progress and risks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in primary electrical design, particularly for HV and EHV substation projects.
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering is a must.
- Experience in Saudi market is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
