Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.


The Role:


Job Description Summary



In this role, you will have responsibilities for the implementation and execution of the established business plan for an area of the production operations and champion an atmosphere of collaboration and cooperation.
You will hold supervisory responsibility for a small/medium group of employees involved in plant production.
Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).
Possess the ability to deal with complex problems. Creates Workplace of choice experience by emphasizing on team engagement and effective communication.





What You'll Do:


  • Support the implementation of company policies and procedures.


  • Promote safety culture through conducting effective ESOT (Environmental and safety observation tours) and promoting hazard identification awareness.


  • Promote safe work practices and achieve objectives for ergonomics, health and safety and housekeeping.


  • Participates effectively in the training, developing, and evaluating of hourly team members.


  • Motivates, coaches, and supports employees to effectively perform their jobs utilizing GMS tools.


  • Leading the analysis of critical quality issues that affect quality scorecard with cross functional teams.


  • Maintains awareness of quality standards, and communicates quality goals, and leverages resources to solve quality issues.


  • Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing/synchronous principles with emphasis on variation reduction, control costs, and achieve productivity improvements.


  • Seeking to improve the production responsiveness and agility by reducing downtime, cost of quality and focusing on throughput improvement process.


  • Manage and control cost metrics through improving VA, eliminating NVA and conducting productivity improvement workshops.


  • Drive for a sustainable environment through saving energy, eliminating pollution, and aiming for zero-waste.


  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.


  • Leads Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and serves as resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.


  • Meets or exceeds production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements.


  • Coach, teach, counsel and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities.

Your Skills & Abilities


Knowledge and Experience:


  • Minimum 6 years of experience on manufacturing operation with leadership skills.


  • Previous experience of supervising hourly team.


  • Previous experience of utilizing Lean manufacturing methodologies.


  • Certified Six sigma is preferable


  • Previous experience in Paint Technology & Surface defects is preferable


  • Previous experience in Surface Pretreatment & Electrodeposition Coating (PT/ED) is preferable


Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.


Skills:


  • Strong leadership skills in terms of leading by example, taking initiatives, being collaborative, inspiring others and encouraging innovative mindset.


  • Having excellent communication and analytical skills.


  • Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees.


  • Effective coaching and presentation skills.


  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Power BI, and data-driven decision-making.


  • Strong public speaking and negotiation skills.
